Mission Statement

This is a Free Speech Forum for people of Germanic heritage, so you can voice your opinion freely if displayed in a civil and non-provocative manner, even if it is considered politically incorrect by the majority of your contemporaries or Skadi Forum Members. We do not discriminate against philosophies, religions, ideologies, cultures, ethnicities, sub-races, or ideas within the wider framework of Germanic preservation. We do not support arcane anti-free-speech laws imposed by any government, so you can utter your opinion without fear.

Skadi Forum supports the preservation of our Germanic heritage, the development of an all-Germanic consciousness, as well as the defense or reestablishment of the Germanic leitkultur in all Germanic states, communities, and places of settlement. Skadi Forum acknowledges the differences between Germanic cultural branches, such as the Anglo-Saxon, the German, the Netherlandic, and the Scandinavian, and supports their future advancement and their regional diversification in accordance with their nature.

Although we do not desire to define ourselves negatively, we, in light of reoccurring misunderstandings, desire to express clearly that Skadi Forum is not a white nationalist, white supremacist, (neo)-nazi, pan-European, pan-Aryan, or racist forum and that it considers such and similar unitizing, collectivist, totalitarian, oppressive and anti-pluralist ideas incompatible with our freedom-loving Germanic spirit and our diverse and enlightened Germanic societies.

Много интересен форум. Започнах да го разглеждам, въпреки че е необятен.

Интересни са имената на потребителските групи в Skadi Forum, повечето са с древногермански произход.
Търсенето в гугъл никак не ми помогна, най-накрая разбрах какво значат тези наименования от секцията F.A.Q. (често задавани въпроси) на самия форум 

Herþra (Moderators)
Witenagemot (Administrators)
Þeudanaz (Senior Administrators)
Þengaz (Funding Members)

За тези, които не знаят, старогерманската буква þ се произнася като английското TH, примерно в думата theory.

И още се употребява в исландския език. Нарича се торн (thorn) и произхожда от древногерманските руни, които явно са предавали по-адекватно звуковата система на прагерманския език от латинската азбука.

Германският форум е леко недостъпен 
Причината е, че използват много стар софтуер - vBulletin 4.2.5, който е отпреди 10 години.
Получава се така, че новият софтуер инсталиран на хоста е вече несъвместим със старата версия на форумната платформа и тя просто спира да работи.

The forum is currently experiencing technical issues due to an upgrade of our host's MYSQL. Unfortunately the newest version is incompatible with our vbulletin issue. We've contacted the host and are looking into downgrading the SQL if possible, otherwise it might be time to upgrade to vbulletin 5. That might be best after all, as it's likely there will be more such issues with the software or modifications as our servers are upgraded in future. We'll let you know as soon as we have an update.

Учуден съм, че проблемът с германския форум все още не е отстранен 
Реално в такава ситуация аз виждам няколко варианта като изход:

- обновление на форумната платформа до vBulletin 5.7
Това ще им струва около 300 долара еднократно плащане (150 долара за лиценз и още толкова за ъпгрейд от специалист)

- преминаване на друг хостинг-план - обикновен Virtual Private Server (стига хостинг-компанията да предлага такъв вариант)
В този случай те ще могат да инсталират по-стари версии на РНР и MySQL и форумът им ще върви с досегашния софтуер

- конвертиране на форумната платформа към безплатна версия SMF
В този случай конвертирането и последващото обновление може да им излезе съвсем без пари

- ликвидиране на форума и създаване на нов, с някоя безплатна платформа
Този вариант според мен е най-неприемлив, но развитието на ситуацията намеква, че е напълно възможен

Мда, изглежда и германския форум вече е заминал в небитието 

Според мен положението беше напълно спасяемо, жалко, че избраха варианта да закрият форума. То е много лесно да се оправдаят със софтуерни неуредици и да се отърват, но не е това начина, все пак форумът им съществуваше от 2002г., значи 20-годишният им труд отиде на вятъра 

Би било добре да създадат нов форум, но не съм оптимист.
